My best weight loss tips: what I learn from losing 6.4 lbs in 2 weeks

I always wanted to register to a gym, but I found it too expensive, so I stick to my regular outdoor activities, walking and sometime swimming, but I don't like to visit public swimming pool during the winter. By going to the gym, I am working out muscles that were not working out before, but I was moderately in good shape before working out. But Econofitness change it all, I could enroll to a gym membership for only $120 per year! I decided it was time to more forward and give a boost to my weight loss efforts, especially knowing that I am going to Cuba in February, I wanted to look good for only gentle Cuban gentlemen and the ultimate goal of course is to look better in a bathing suit, and to kill off that cellulite that I unfortunately have. I don't have a little delicate figure - I have a body type that is capable of taking shit if you see what I mean. It make it easy for me to spend 2 to 3 hours at the gym.

I had been training at Econofitness since January 13. On that first week, I train 4 days on the row, for about 2 hours on each visit. Unfortunately, my local Econofitness is not open on Sundays. On the first week, I lost 1.6 lbs. For the week of January 17, I lost 4.8 lbs. So far, I lost 6.4 lbs by training at Econofitness. Even with less than 10 pounds lost, I see and feel a difference. My waist and thighs feel and look firmer. I wasn't able to make it at the gym on Friday evening because I was too busy at work, so who knows, maybe I could had lose more. Personally, spending long hours at work haven't help my health in the past couple months, especially my weight. I have a very slow metabolism. Even if I watch closely my diet while spending a lot of time at work, I won't lose any weight, it will simply remain the same. 

Almost every day during weekdays, I go straight to the gym where I push it to burn 700 calories on each session. On Saturday, I have more time, so I manages yesterday to burn 800 calories. Its about the max I can do at this time without having pain or burning myself. The trick is to change of machines during to vary the exercises. By doing so, you avoid, in my sense, the risk of injuries.

For $10 a month, you get a lot from Econofitness. There's a lot of machines, I never been to the point where all of them were taking the same time. I like to start my session on the walking/jogging machine. And following what I switch to whatever machine is available. I like to get back on the walking/jogging machine to burn what I need to reach the 700 calories. Once the job done, I like to finish the workout with weight training.

The only negative things about Econofitness is that they can run out of toilet paper (this happen on Saturday and I didn't have any kleenex, so I needed to do my thing with brown paper!). Showers are $2 per minute, but I strongly suggest not to shower at the gym. And be careful not to put your naked feet on the floor ever - sit on a bench to change of socks. I also suggest you bring hand sanitizer to kill germs - I apply some lotion after switching of machine. And once home, I carefully wash my precious hands.

Once you get into the routine, its fun and easy to workout at the gym. And when you don't go, you'll miss it.

Dieting for weight loss

I already post an entry on this blog about what I was eating to lose weight. Its important to stay in control of what you are eating while working out. Dieting alone without pushing it at the gym won't work. You'll lose some pounds, and after what, your weight will stay stable. That's what I had experienced. An individual need to burn 3 500 calories to only lose 1 lb!! Knowing that should help calm your craving. While eating less, you'll be less hungry. 

Anti cellulite treatment, waist trimmer belt and other gadgets

Working out should help to reduce the cellulite, but you can add a good firming lotion. I currently used Yves Rocher Firming Lotion Toned Looking Thights in the morning and the evening.

I never used waist trimmer, but I am about to buy on Amazon the McDavid Waist Trimmer by McDavid. I plan to wear it under my shirt at the gym. Its available at only $22.99 and the product have many good reviews on Amazon and outside. The fight against cellulite is not an easy one when your sexy body is full of female hormones. I read about a product that seem to be giving very good results: the Cellu-cup. The Cellu-cup is available at $31.99 on I saw a cheaper alternative for less than $5, a product that seem doing exactly the same thing, I cannot wait to give it a try.

My favorite cosmetic beauty items of the moment: what do I hold in my makeup bag

I have a few beauty essentials that I couldn't live without. I carry them in a little makeup bag that I keep in my purse. Here are the cosmetics that I carry around:

L'Oréal Paris Infallible Lipstick, my shade is everlasting caramel, color 201. I like L'Oréal Paris Infallible Lipstick because its longwear and stay on the lips even after drinking coffee. I usually wear this lipstick at work.

Bourgeois Rouge Edition, Velvet, color 07. I like the pink shade of this Bourgeois lipstick. Its texture is also very nice. However, its not a longwear lipstick like L'Oréal Paris Infallible. This is more a weekend lipstick.

NYC HD Automatic Eyeliner Waterproof, color 005 Deep Purple
It totally worth it to seek cheaper alternatives in other brands. L'Oréal Paris can be quite expensive. I really like the NYC HD Automatic Eyeliner Waterproof and its affordable; it cost less than $5 each. Once applied, this waterproof eyeliner stay on all day long.

BB Cream:
I had tried up some BB and CC Cream, including Marcelle CC Cream complete correction, but they sooner or later leave me with a greasy feeling. Since I have a mix skin complexion, including an oily one, I find it quite difficult to find a good CC or BB cream, or even a foundation. I stop searching for goods after discovering L'Oréal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier B.B. Cream. This BB cream cover my little imperfections. Its texture is really light. I apply powder after its application and I am usually good for several hours.

Weight loss quick update

I start dieting on November 7 - it make it exactly one month today. The number 7 seem to be a lucky number, because I had lost 7.6 pounds so far. I have to admit, I was hoping to lose more, but I didn't exercise as much as I should. It’s better to lose weight slowly anyway because the whole sexy body can take the time it need to adjust. It’s also making things it easier in the process not to regain at the end the weight loss to get away of the fat trap. How much weight can you lose in one month all depends of the amount of efforts put into it. It’s all simple logic.

To lose weight, we need to be persistent in the efforts. You cannot watch your diet very carefully one day and the day after hit at the A&W for delicious onion rings. Cheating on your diet is not an option when knowing that you need to burn 3 500 calories to lose one single pound!

It’s nice to be dieting, exercising, lose weight, but all of those good things need to remain for goods. Being able to stabilize our weight on a long period of time is the perfect sign that yep, we are doing things right! In all weight loss program, it’s the most crucial period.

But currently, I just want to lose more weight before 2015 end. December is that month of the year where everything happen at the same time: holidays, vacations, the end of a year-end than suddenly, you realize that you had been thinking of doing stuff for a while, but that you didn't took time to do most of the things you had on mind... And that make 2015 not different of any other year after all!
It can be difficult to plan and cook well balance healthy meal. I don't like to cook that much. And what to cook anyway? On weekdays, I stick to my usual. It’s actually easier to eat healthy while being at work because that way, you have your lunch, and you stay your head out of the fridge.

Your grocery list for weight loss should include vegetables. Among my best vegetables for weight loss, we find: radish, cauliflower and tomatoes. Radish is one of my favorite, it satisfy hunger. I usually eat them raw, but if you'll like to cook radish, Martha Stewart propose a variety of recipes involving radish, including this corn and radish salad recipe.

I find that carrots open the appetite more than it satisfy it.
